I am aware that you have been awaiting my comments in these last throes of the election process going on in our state at this time.
I understand that it has been a challenging time for all of us to make sense of the outcome of the elections. The whole process has been tasking for all of us because we believed in the future of our people – the industrious people of Osun State of Nigeria.
While, we must come to terms with our loss, we can only pray that the hand of God will guide the remaining election process to a fruitful solution for our people. The people have spoken and we abide by the democratic principles of allowing them to have their way, God helping all of us.
I urge everyone who supported us during this difficult campaign not to relent in his or her prayers, and to wish our next governor every goodwill. We will exploit efforts to work together with them, even if it means making necessary compromises to bridge our differences, and to help restore prosperity in our state. That way, we can prepare a legacy that guarantees a better and more viable economy than we inherited for our children.
Long Live Accord Party!
Long Live Osun State!!
Long Live Nigeria!!!
On behalf of the family of Alhaji Jimoh Azeez, Folake and myself,
